More Time Is Needed To Break The Cycle Of Poverty

Let’s help people in need, especially those who are dying of hunger in the face of global economic meltdown.

In the whole world, there are about two billion people who are suffering from poverty and hunger, and there has been a dramatic increase in the poverty rate for the past three years.

In the United States alone, the number of poor people has increased to 16.89 percent (i.e., from 37.3 million to 43.6 million) since 2008.

It is not their wish to live in poverty and die of hunger.   Undeniably, while the world’s political and economic system will continue to be run by leaders with selfish interests, there can never be an end to the vicious cycle of poverty.

Let’s make a difference in the lives of the economically disadvantaged sectors of the society — the poor and the hungry.  Let’s share our blessings to them.
